Who We Are
The Billingbear Ball Bashers are a like-minded mixed-standard group of guys who enjoy a regular Saturday morning Tee Time at Billingbear Park, with the lucky retirees managing to sneak in a Wednesday too.
We believe that a bad day on the course can still a great day for a good cause, so we started raising money back in 2021, when four of us took on 72 holes in a single day for Prostate Cancer UK.
Since then, we've held an annual golf day, raising money for a chosen charity each year. Together with our fellow golfers, we have raised over £20,000 for Prostate Cancer UK, Crohns & Colitis UK, Dementia UK, PSPA and The RockinR.

This Year’s Cause
We are proud to support the Ollie Young Foundation and Helen & Douglas House Hospice. These incredible organizations provide vital care, palliative support, and research funding to families facing the unthinkable.
The Foundation was launched in memory of Ollie, a brave little boy from Wokingham who lost his fight against an incurable brain tumour the day before his sixth birthday, just twelve weeks after his first symptoms. There was no treatment, no cure. Ollie spent his final weeks at Helen & Douglas House, where he and his family were cared for so they could share precious time together, until he closed his eyes for the last time on 26 February 2012.
We'll be working with Sarah, Ollie's mum, to raise funds for specific items the Hospice needs, and to do it in Ollie's name.
Last year we raised £5,000. It would mean the world to beat it.
The Day: What’s Included
We're back at Weybrook Park for the third time, a lovely chalk course that drains well and offers a proper test when the wind gets up.
Last year a guest golfer somehow carded an albatross 2 on the 466-yard par-5 15th. What will this year bring?
Kick-Off
Start the morning with fresh breakfast rolls and hot tea/coffee while you catch up with the group.
The Main Event
18 holes of championship golf at the stunning Weybrook Park. nearest the pin and longest drive competitions included.
Fine Dining
Wrap up the day with a delicious two-course sit-down dinner and the all-important prize-giving ceremony.
